Comp Research is a simple, public tool. It does not require an account, and it is designed to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

You can use Comp Research without logging in or providing any personal information. When you run a search, your search words are sent to eBay's listings service so we can show you matching listings; we do not tie searches to your identity, and we do not build a profile of you.

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard technical request information, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliable operation. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

eBay user data

We do not collect, store, or process eBay buyer or seller personal information of any kind. The listings you see are fetched live from eBay each time you search and are not stored against any individual.

Affiliate links and cookies

Comp Research is a member of the eBay Partner Network. When you click a listing or a "Buy on eBay" link, eBay may set cookies that allow eBay to attribute your visit and any resulting purchase to us so we can earn a referral commission. Those cookies are set and controlled by eBay and are governed by eBay's own privacy notice. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not run third-party advertising networks. We do not use your data to train any AI model.
